Sinai.ai Raises USD 1.45M Pre-Seed
to Turn Books Into AI-Powered Experiences
The way people read hasn't fundamentally changed in decades, but if Sinai.ai has its way, a massive shift is just on the horizon.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Sinai.ai, an innovative startup and active member of our community here at The GrEEK Campus Mall of Arabia, has successfully raised $1.45 million in a pre-seed funding round.
Backed by lead investors KAUST Innovation Ventures and DisrupTech Ventures, with participation from Maza Ventures, YOUXEL Ventures, and strategic angel investors—this Cairo-founded company is rethinking how we create, consume, and experience content.
Moving Beyond the Traditional Page
While reading remains one of the largest content markets globally, its core format has seen limited tech-driven innovation. Sinai.ai isn’t just digitizing books to live on a screen; they are entirely restructuring the reading experience.
The company is building an AI-native platform that transforms traditional books into what it calls “aiBooks.” This dynamic format combines text, audio, translations, and interactive exploration into a single, personalized experience that adjusts in real-time based on the user’s language, context, and specific learning goals.
"Sinai.ai, the next-generation adaptive reading platform transforming books into dynamic, intelligent experiences, today announced the close of its $1.45M pre-seed funding round. The capital will fund proprietary tech, AI infrastructure, user acquisition, and licensing." Ahmed Kamel, Co-Founder & CEO, Sinai.ai
Why It Matters: Reshaping the Ecosystem
Sinai.ai operates at the fascinating intersection of publishing, edtech, media, and AI infrastructure. Crucially, rather than trying to bypass the traditional publishing world, the Sinai.ai team is building within it. They champion a legal-first model, ensuring all content is fully licensed and compliant.
What’s Next for Sinai.ai?
Founded in 2021 by Ahmed Kamel, Mohamed Elshenawy, Abdullah Moatasem, Hana Malhas, and Mohamed Elshamy, the startup is geared up for rapid execution.
With their new capital, the team will focus on:
Developing their proprietary AI technology.
Expanding their underlying AI infrastructure.
Scaling user acquisition.
Securing meaningful content licensing agreements and publishing partnerships.
If Sinai.ai succeeds in their mission, they won't just introduce a new medium, they will redefine what the concept of a "book" actually means in the modern age.
From all of us at WRK+, congratulations to the Sinai.ai team! We are thrilled to support your journey and can't wait to see what you build next.
