Procurement Lead

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Lead with a strong background in the construction industry to manage and optimize the procurement process for projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers and contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored for construction projects to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
● Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
● Negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and service-level agreements with vendors.
● Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong professional relationships.
● Prepare, review, and approve purchase orders and procurement documentation.
● Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure materials and services meet project requirements.
● Track market trends, materials pricing, and construction industry developments to inform procurement decisions.
● Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and health & safety standards.
● Support budgeting and cost control by analyzing procurement data and identifying savings opportunities.
● Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audit purposes.
Requirements:
● Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
● Strong knowledge of construction materials, services, and supplier landscape.
● Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization.
● Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
● Proficiency in procurement software, MS Office, and ERP systems.
● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Skills:
● Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
● Experience in large-scale construction projects and multi-site operations.
● Knowledge of international sourcing and logistics is advantageous.
